It is a great pleasure for me personally to welcome all the players, organisers, adjudicators, chief guests and other guests to this prestigious event.I am overwhelmed by the interest and support showed by the Tamil diaspora for conducting this event. This Tournament is a significant event,as we got more than 40 plus top chess players across from all ages going to gather to show their intellectual analytical strengths. As we all know, Chess is a unique, amazing sport. The game of chess is indeed a noble and ancient one.We invented it and it has travelled the length and breadth of the globe and found devotees of every race, creed and nationality. We all can be very proud of ourselves for carrying on this wonderful tradition.

Although the game of chess in by its nature a solitary one, each individual’s performance depends on the support of those closest to them.

I extend my appreciation to all the parents and family members who encourages to participate in this event.

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge our trainer Mr. Krishna Murthy ( Kovai Chess Academy) and backroom teams, your families and friends for the important role for the preparation.
Hope this Annual Chess Tournament will help our community to keep this Sport as their life companion.

In conclusion, even though it is a mind game and competition I hope that you all will have an enjoyable time.
