I accidentally deleted 12,500+ CR2 RAW photos from my hard disk thinking that all the files are moved to the cloud. This file move happened 11 months ago. Yesterday I checked the disk and the read the hard disc story… it’s all different.
No files copied to the cloud.
பக் !
(Read it in Tamil twice)
This is my heartbeat sound.
I didn’t panic.
The same thing happened few years ago and I used a tool called R-Undelete.
There are many tools for file recovery… but this one is more reliable and user-friendly to recover the data.
R-Undelete.
This tool can dig your கொள்ளு தாத்தா graveyard and bring back life.
Madan What was the tool you used the other day?
i used Stellar Data Recovery.. went through the same experience when the SD card containing Namaste Canada photos got corrupt.
Lesson learnt – when transferring huge amount of data from SD card to lapTop/PC, use the physical write “lock” switch in the card so it is always read-only operation.. your data is safe..
Good point. I use synology backup system. The miss is the copy won’t consider the sub folders. Say I have the “Apple” folder, and “Orange” is the sub folder when the copy happens over secured IP only apple is copied and oranges are left out.
Wow! Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
I can give the tool..
Message me the email ID
Whoever needs it
Amazing thank you

R-Undelete recovers files on any local disk it recognizes including HDD, SSD, USB/NVME storage devices, memory cards, virtual disks and undamaged RAIDs and Windows Storage Spaces.
R-Undelete wizard-style interface is easy-to-use yet powerful and fast file undelete solution even for corrupt FAT, exFS, NTFS and ReFS file systems.
Automatic pre-sorting of found files to the file type tabs and sorting files by their names, paths, sizes, or dates.
What else you need???
Thank you ..Sridar
Great to know that, Sridar..if at all u hv any idea of a similar tool to retrieve my 2000 odd camera pics which I accidentally deleted from samsung galaxy note edge mb, can i be informed of? Tnx????
This tool works on any storage device. But the storage device should be healthy and bootable.
For mobile / camera the storage is either internal or external. As long as it doesn’t have bad sectors and readable it can be recovered. The key is System disks stores files in binary format. Mobile and camera pictures uses different method.
Recovery is a tricky thing and there is no guarantee that every file can be recovered successfully.
Hope this info is useful
Definitely wld check out on that, sridar..samsung service centre cldn’t help me out though!..thank u????

What did they say?
If the disk is dead it’s the end of the Road. If system is bootable you can still try
Delete operations by OS marks the file’s location as unused and they don’t actually delete it (for deletion process to be quick). Later new files being copied takes over the space. So if you have not copied many new files into the disk after deletion you should be able to recover them 🙂
Sridar Elumalai they said it can’t be retrieved at all, less responsive when asked for d reason but I’m able to save pics even now in d same device, so I shld make an attempt again as u say..????
Karthikeyan Palanisamy tnx for that information ????
Thanks for sharing the info ????????????????
Thanks Sri ????
