Experiment 4.5.6 :

Its tough being a nocturnal by birth as a owl and change to an early Hummingbird…

In the past few weeks, I read few scientific articles and decided to enter a 66 day Challenge to wake up at 5 Am everyday and go to sleep early.

Because 66 days is a scientific approximate days needed  to make a human practice to a habit. I am going to allot 40 minutes at gym and 20 minutes for blogging/writing/reading/ sketching every day. It may sound crazy but it will double my current work efficiency, energy and health. I am slow starter. I take time to think and analyse before jump in. I normally don’t mix things. I don’t do many works at a time.

I normally break down any goals into realistic, high impact tasks. – Take my primary goal and divide it into smaller and smaller chunks until I have a list of realistic tasks, each of which can be accomplished in a few hours or less. Then work on the next unfinished, available task that will have the greatest impact at the current time. This is a ongoing process…Now I want to learn a craft for the next six months….

Writing is something I’ve always wanted to do. I always held the dream that someday I’d be a writer. It’s fun to play hypothetical “someday”, but there happen to be seven days in a week – someday just isn’t one of them.

I think this is the right time to get creative with my schedule to make sure I can stamp out a time each day to work on my craft. In his best seller, Start, Jon Acuff talks about finding his time by waking at 5 a.m. to write. The idea of setting my alarm clock earlier may sound horrible to you …. If you’re thinking, “5 a.m. is early!” I wouldn’t disagree. It may take few weeks to adjust to the new schedule, but for sure I will feel better in future than now, because I want a change.

I want to make it’s a ritual, but I had to train my body on how to get up early. Remembering why I’m doing it and what my goal will motivate me to get-after-it every morning. Without a purpose, follow-through is nearly impossible.

So, maybe I don’t want to write every morning, some days I will sketch or will read or even cook a dish. But, I’m guessing there is probably something I would like to do whether it’s learn a new craft or skill, start a workout program, read, or sketch.
This is my  own challenge to me to set my alarm for 4.56 a.m., go to bed early, and get up and get-after-it!

The Experiment Name is: 4.5.6, This is the Morning Alarm Time for the next 66 days.

I will write a blog once this experiment is concluded with results. What is achieved, What Failed, What is improved? Is this Change Necessary?

Cheers, Good Night, It is 8.30 PM
