All Started with a Photo Shoot Spot Selection. I am working on a theme for a Photo shoot. I want an exotic shot where a Classical Indian Dancer, pose by Standing in a rock along a stream where, its all green and possibly a water flow in the background and snow mountains. I am sorting a list and thought of writing to a true Canadian traveler. He wrote me back with more details. He said that having a forest background is going to be tough if I stay local. We normally sits in the bottom of a steep valley that we almost never get the open space with a mountain backdrop unless you leverage the open space that a lake or ocean creates. He gave me a list to choose.
1. Buntzen lake, the south west side will could give you a water and rock background. There is also a floating bridge across the south end that would let you play the angles with the beach.
2. About half way up Alloutte Lake there is a deep cut stream that enters the lake, the trouble is I cannot remember if canyon is too steep to see the mountains or not.
3. Porteau Cove has the big classic west coast rocks and water with the sunshine coast mounts in the background.
4. Sasquatch provincial park opens right up with large smooth rocks dropping into the stream and lake with a good mountain backdrop.
5. If the wind is blowing Point Roberts is very dramatic where the rocks enter the ocean but no mountains.
Then he shared few pictures from Granite Falls. It looks amazing for the photo shoot. The only issue is I need to go to this place by water and I need to learn Paddling. I am a huge fan of paddle sports such as kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddling. I love this sport but I never tried till today.
